Underleigh House has achieved a  5 star rating by both nationwide quality assessment schemes. This indicates the highest standards of quality and service within the Guest Accommodation category.
Guest Accommodation properties are generally smaller than Hotels with more of a family home feel and approach, and a less structured service.

Gold Award accolades are given by Enjoy England quality assessors to places that 'go the extra mile' to make your stay a special one, and provide exceptional quality in all areas, particularly in service and hospitality.

AA Highly Commended Yellow Stars are rewarded to guest accommodation establishments reaching the top 10% within their star rating for overall quality.

Enjoy England Excellence Awards celebrate the best of English tourism. The Awards are known throughout the industry as the 'Oscars' of tourism. Underleigh House is the proud winner of the Gold award in the Bed and Breakfast/Guest Accommodation category of the 2009 East Midlands Enjoy England Excellence Awards. This is the second time that Underleigh House has won this coveted award - the first being in 2006.

Finalist in the 'Friendliest Landlady of the Year' category of the AA's 2009 Bed and Breakfast awards. Underleigh House was one of only 20 properties nominated for this award by the AA’s panel of inspectors. VisitEngland's new Breakfast Award recognises Hotels and B&Bs that offer their guests a high quality and good choice of breakfast plus service and hospitality that exceeds what would be expected at their star rating.

AA Breakfast Award, signified by the egg cup, is awarded for a breakfast that exceeds the quality requirements of the establishment’s star rating.

Peak District Cuisine guarantees a true taste of the Peak District by ensuring we support and promote local food producers.

Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards are held to celebrate locally produced top quality food and drink and reward the county’s finest producers and businesses. Underleigh House won the Best Breakfast award in 2004.

The Peak District Environmental Quality Mark (EQM) is an award for businesses that have good environmental practices and contribute to the conservation of the Peak District National Park. Underleigh House has the EQM award for Accommodation. This involves:
- Efficient use of energy & water resources
- Minimisation of waste by reducing, reusing & recycling
- Use of environmentally friendly products
- Purchasing from/supporting Peak District Farms who manage part of their land for conservation
- Telling our customers about our environmental efforts
